16 We ventured here to experience the rugged beauty of this end of the island. The adventure of getting there through the dunes was a blast and then to discover the solitary, worn but welcoming restaurant was amazing.
On the day we were there, we were the only customers and Ethne joined us for conversation post meal and shared the history of the restaurant and the area. It was a treasured experience, a fabulous from scratch meal and a stunning setting. The lobster sandwich with curry on Johnny Cakes was superlative. The hospitality was commensurate with our whole island experience.
Perfectly off-the-beaten-path. It would be hard to find a more idyllic, relaxed setting to enjoy lunch and lounge on the beach. We enjoyed the BBQ ribs and chatting with Nat.
Beautiful spot, wonderful owners, delicious and reasonably priced food. Well worth the short drive down the sandy road (regular car ok!) to see this windswept and beautiful part of the island to have a tasty lobster sandwich on a crispy Johnny cake, and take in the view.
Such an amazing little open air location, really chill vibe, great views and very fresh seafood. Absolutely no complaints with this place
Beautiful beach and setting but food doesn't live up to the prices. Menu is the same price as a resort or hotel on the island. This isn't the Maldives, The food quality does not match the prices. For example we were staying at Zemi, the night before we had the Beach BBQ with all you can eat lobster and other dishes and desserts for $65 a person, you can get fresh lobster for less money in the states where we are from then here. If a long bumpy un paved road to a shack that sells over priced food is what your looking for, check it out! No one is there because of the prices.
Palm Groove has always been a special place. Great to see Nat up and running this year. Amazing lobster, fish and ribs. Had place to ourselves—more folks should make the trek.
Far off the beaten path. The food was excellent, owner is friendly and the rum punch was delicious. Great place to relax and spend time watching the waves while you wait for your order. No umbrellas or beach chairs available. Shrimp plate and lobster salad were very good. Johnny cakes had a great flavor, nice and piping hot.
A very rustic very large beach restaurant at the end of a long dirt road on a nice windy beach in Anguilla. Prices are normal for the island. Advantages are the view, the family that owns the beach bar and restaurant, and not very many people usually are there.
Returned to palm Grove again. Never disappoints. Take the time to experience a different part of Anguilla. It will be what you remember from your trip.
Palm Grove (Nat's place) is a favorite. The sand road can be driven by ordinary cars. Food is cooked to order - slowly. Place your order, poke around the coral and beach, come back and have a drink while waiting. You might be the only folks on Savannah Bay Beach.
Secluded spot where no one is in a hurry. Worthy the bumpy ride on dirt roads but the food is tasty, freshly prepared and you will wait a good while for it. Relaxing way to spend a day.

I couldn't believe that Nat rebuilt after the hurricanes took the entire building inland a hundred or more yards. And now ALL the Palm trees are gone. But they still serve amazing food with a side of the best Johnny Cakes I've ever had. Some things are pricey but sitting and talking with Nat and Natalie while feeling the warm breezes off the bay. Let's just say we went back a second time before we left! This is just one of those places that seems like home! Thank you Natalie and Nat. So very glad you decided to rebuild! See you again next time! ️
Very quiet and secluded. Nobody was there during both of our visits. Staff was friendly. Beach wasn't as quiet as the waves were the biggest we had seen on the island. Worth the long trek out.
We had been here back in 2006. Tourism and the business that it brings in went down in 2008 and then about the time of the economic recovery Hurricane Irma blew through Anguilla decimating this and a lot of the other small businesses that are on the beaches here. They have been back in business for awhile but they are still in the process of reconstructing the building. It was great to see Nat (the owner) and his efforts in rebuilding his business not to mention it is a great place for lunch or dinner. Try the Crawfish & Ribs Combo. Or any of the other menu items, there are many to choose from along with other combinations.
SUV/4WD/Truck recommended for the long and bumpy trek down his "driveway" but there were many cars parked in the lot so it can be done in a car.
