This place will rob you blind. Poor service. The food you want on the menu isn’t available. Got two drinks and the bill looked like I had eaten a cornucopia of plenty. Spare your wallet and reduce your expectations. Run!

This place has a great view and lovely food. I went there for dinner on Wednesday and it was really tasty. So of course I wanted to visit the restaurant on my last day (Saturday) on the island to have another drink or meal.

Well that was impeded by Lucy (I have no idea of her station there but she definitely deserves a demotion; or if she is the owner she should let others do the client service). Lucy first approached me to ask me when I was leaving as my car was parked wrong. I had parked where I observed previous cars parked on Wednesday; but was fine with moving the car to a more appropriate place- and I did. I then returned excited for my drink with a view before heading to the ferry.

I saw an open table at the front and asked the bartender if I could sit there (as I am solo). She said of course. I went to the table and was quickly berated by Lucy (in front of many other diners) about why I sat there etc.etc.etc.i informed her that I had asked and the she was like ‘do you even know what you want’…I informed her that I had already ordered at the bar and that I would only be there for 20 minutes. With that she stalked off.

I felt belittled and angry and decided that this place doesn’t deserve my money; and left. Who yells at a customer?

As I walked to my car a local told me that this place had a reputation for being racist at times. I’m assuming it’s when Lucy is on the schedule. She is a piece of work. I definitely don’t recommend this place as long as that lady and her arrogance are employed there.

Food was very disappointing. My lobster was over cooked my wife ordered a cheese burger, they got it wrong 3 times and 15 minutes later than everyone else's food decided to eat what she had even though it was still wrong.

There were no compensations for the horrible service and they added an 18% gratuity as well.

Slow service. Only one of a couple people there. After waiting a long time, wrong order was brought out. Waitress argued that's what was ordered.which was ridiculous because couldn't eat it anyway due to an allergy. Would not recommend. Atmosphere felt very stiff. Food took a long time, but was yummy. Won't be back. 2 stars for decent food though.

My friend and I sat at a table close to the beach and were rudely told to sit at a less nice table close to the bar for the sole reason that it was only two of us and that table could seat five.

There were other couples beside and behind who were also seated at large tables by themselves. We were never escorted to a table when we came in but left to choose for ourselves. Whoever she was didn't attempt to move the smaller table up to that space nor see fit to apologise in any way. We were simply told to move in an abrupt, rude, loud manner.

Had it not been for my friend, I would have walked right out. But he wanted to eat here and I told him I was taking him out.so.yeah

Go for the beach and the views. Skip the food, lobster pita and pepperoni pizza, and drinks. The credit card machine was down which was somehow my problem and the bank's problem. Since we didn't have cash, we were forced to have our credit card information written down so the tab could be run whenever the machine came back up. Not the best customer service.

View and location - literally on the beach and you can't get better than that. Lovely locale.

The chicken nuggets were good… but that’s about it. Snapper filet was just ok. Pasta was terrible. Come for the ambiance!

Such a great dining option in Shoal Bay Beach! It’s low key, but offers incredible food and drinks. The location is incredible on one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen, and you are right off the ocean with incredible views. There is indoor and outdoor seating available and the service was great. They had live music during dinner which was a great touch and livened the place up, everyone was dancing and enjoying themselves!

Food was wonderful & great ambiance. The mahi-mahi kebabs were delicious. The service was “island time” slooow. So expect to relax & enjoy your drinks & the view. An adorable dog does come by at around 7: 30-8pm to beg.
**FYI. Beware when using the bathroom.there is a mirror on the wall that reflects back into a window louvre or angled slats. Directly next to the kitchen. Anyone standing outside of that window can see into the bathroom or just has to see the mirrored reflection of the person using the toilet. Super creepy! Peeping Tom alert.

The food here is superb. I love the Takani Tuna & the Mahi Mahi kebab with Creole sauce, not to mention the run punch. The view is to die for

Great location, vibe and atmosphere. Superb beach food. Have had issues in the past when ordering out - other than that great value for money.

Drinks are great and food is amazing! Stop by for a drink and enjoy the sunset on the beach.

Good Food. The drinks and the beach is breathtaking and awesome. The best pizza I have eaten in years. Tranquility and pazza.

The location obviously makes it unbeatable. Laid back staff (expected). The only complaint is lack of choices. But who comes here for fine dining anyways. Enjoy the vibe!

The service was slow, the waitress assigned to our table didn't show much interest, waited 1 hour and 15 minutes but the food was delicious.

This is great spot to eat directly in the middle of Shoal Bay! I got there breakfast so we could go to the beach as soon as possible. The breakfast was great! You have an amazing view of the beach, staff is friendly, food is great!

Setting is fantastic.beautiful beach, great sunset. Service was friendly and efficient. Food was decent, drinks were good. We enjoyed Madeariman as our first meal on the island.

Lovely beach restaurant, good sized portions, delicious food and strong cocktails. Be careful and drink responsibly.
